Scotland - based in Edinburgh, covering the whole of Scotland.
Joey was born in New York and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, where he attended Jewish day schools and was a youth leader in NCSY. He studied at the Derech Institute at Yeshivat Ohr Somayach in Jerusalem before moving to Israel, later completing a BA in International Relations and Sociology & Anthropology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Passionate about strengthening Israel–Diaspora connections, he brings a diverse professional background, spanning aliyah work, pastoral counseling for young immigrants to Israel, and supporting Australia and New Zealand’s Jewish communities — experience he’s eager to put toward serving Jewish students across Scotland.
Gilia grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, where she was deeply involved in Jewish life. She moved to Israel at age 18 to a religious kibbutz. She later completed her BA in Linguistics and English Literature at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Gilia loves reading, crafting, baking, and gardening, and looks forward to providing a cozy, inclusive space for Jewish students in Scotland to feel at home.
