Aviad and Tehila Raviv, along with their two young children, arrived in Nottingham in September 2025 to serve as the new Chaplaincy couple. With a dynamic blend of professional expertise and heartfelt dedication to Jewish communal life, they bring both warmth and vision to their new role.
Aviad holds a degree in electrical engineering, and Tehila holds a degree in industrial engineering. Both have earned MBAs, rounding out their academic journey with a strong foundation in leadership and strategy. Yet beyond their formal credentials, it’s their deep-rooted commitment to community and tradition that defines them.
Aviad, raised in Beit Shemesh, grew up immersed in a bicultural environment. His father’s work as a rabbi and shaped Aviad’s appreciation for diverse perspectives and inclusive community building. Tehila, originally from Givat Shmuel, has a rich background in informal education. Her journey with Bnei Akiva spans years—as a participant, counsellor, and staff member at Camp Moshava in the U.S.. She has also volunteered with “Zichron Menahem” and “Ezra Lamarpeh,” offering support and joy to children battling cancer. Known for her creativity and flair, Tehila brings humour and originality to every event she organizes, whether intimate family gatherings or traditional communal celebrations.
Together, Aviad and Tehila are excited to create a welcoming, vibrant, and meaningful “home away from home” for students in Nottingham. Their door is open, their hearts are full, and their mission is clear: to nurture connection, celebrate tradition, and support every student’s unique journey.
