Liverpool & North West

Rabbi Natan Fagleman

Rabbi Natan Fagleman serves as the Chaplain for Liverpool and the North West, bringing a wealth of experience in both education and pastoral care. Originally from Manchester, he studied at Gateshead Yeshiva and Midrash Shmuel, and later earned a degree from the University of Manchester. His background includes roles as a teacher and rabbi, which have equipped him with strong pastoral skills and a passion for supporting students.

Natan is married to Avital, who also hails from Manchester, and together they have three children. Their shared roots in the North West provide them with a deep understanding of the local community and its unique dynamics. He and Avital enjoy hosting students, recognising the value of providing a connection to a local Jewish family and community. Rabbi Fagleman's combination of local knowledge, educational background, and dedication to student welfare makes him a valuable resource for Jewish students in Liverpool and the North West.

In his Chaplaincy role, Rabbi Fagleman is committed to being available for students whenever they need support. He aims to build strong links with the JSoc, organising social activities and engaging educational experiences to enrich students' university lives.

He hopes that through their interactions, students will develop a strengthened Jewish identity and a deeper appreciation for the beauty of Jewish life. Outside his professional commitments, Natan enjoys sports, music, documentaries, comedies, and spending time in nature and the countryside.
